- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I can teach pedal harps and celtic harp to all ages, levels and abilities, also music theory, chamber music and orchestra repertoire, as well as preparing students for orchestral auditions. Although my speciality is classical music and I am happy to work on any style of music (pop, jazz, contemporary, background music) with my students.
The goal is to learn the harp in a healthy way, to explore sounds, feelings on the instrument, and to have fun!

MMus : Distinction in performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance
BMus ( Hons) : 1st Class Honours at Trinity College of Music
Also achieved her IVT teaching diploma whilst studying for her Masters.
Claire has studied art of teaching, language of music, Improvisation, and conducting there.

Originally from France, she did her study at Ecole de Musique de Colmar and Conservatoire National et Regional de Strasbourg.
- How much do you charge?
First contact/lesson (30min): Free
Lessons at my house can be 30, 45 mins or an hour long and either weekly fortnightly or monthly to suit the pupil.
30min: £18 - 1h: £35
I do travel to some students, but please get in contact with me to talk about it.
- Where do you teach?
Preferably at my home but I can be flexible, so please get in contact with me.
- When are you available?
I can be available every day and will be helpful to find the best time for you.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages from children to adults. However, she generally will not take students under the age of six or seven. This can depend on the child and she will look at it on a case by case basis. Concerning the very young children I would like to have the parents support during lessons.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
It depends on the student's requirements. Claire is happy teaching just for pleasure or for grades.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
The harp is an elegant, charming, and magic instrument. Please do not feel scared about it. If you are an adult and it was your childhood dream... maybe it is time to realize it ;-) or if you recognize yourself saying: I am not good on this instrument, I can not learn it. To those people, Claire would say: Come to try it over and let's go to find out its secret together.
- What kind of experience do you have?
Claire freelances in London with several symphony orchestras, she has an extensive experience as a solo player, chamber music and orchestra player.- extensive experience in teaching and in addition to her private pupils she is deputy and assistent teacher at Trinity Laban Music Conservaoitre - Junior department since 2007, and has given Masterclasses in Illzach, France in 2010. She prepared students for grades and auditions to enter a Music Conservatoire.
Claire has performed many solo and chamber music recitals both at home and abroad including an acclaimed solo recital at St Martin in the Fields, Bishopsgate Institute, Kings Place; Beijing (China); Paris and Alsace region (France); Switzerland, and almost others.
As a soloist, she has performed Ravel Introduction and Allegro and Debussy Dances with the Billroth Ensemble, Kantanti, and Sidcup Symphony Orchestra in UK and France.
Claire performed for Musikfest at Stuttgart with European Union Youth Orchestra with live recording for SWR2 radio under the baton of Vladimir Ashkenazy and at Amsterdam in Concertgebouw conducted by Laurent Pillot.
Claire enjoys playing contemporary music and has worked closely with composer Amir Sadeghi with whom she has recorded a world premiere with her harp trio for BBC television.
Apart from music, Claire has a passion for many different sports: swimming, skiing and became French champion of table tennis player in 2004 and enjoys travelling.
