For me, teaching is a shared experience. I try to tailor my approach to each individual student and enable them to take their playing as far as they want,

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I am happy to prepare students for ABRSM practical and theory exams, secondary school music scholarships, conservatoire entry, diplomas and post-graduate qualifications.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
The philosophy behind my teaching is that it is a shared experience. I learn a huge amount from my varied students and hope to enable them to deepen their relationship with music in whatever way suits them best.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have years of experience as a professional harpsichordist, giving recitals and making recordings. I have always enjoyed teaching and have taught harpsichord at the Royal College of Music, the Royal Welsh College, Radley College and Kings School Canterbury. I also teach many private piano pupils, including coaching professional pianists in performance practice. I enjoy starting young pianists off from their very first lesson just as much as teaching post-graduate level harpsichord.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
- Where and with whom did you train?
I studied at the Royal College of Music and at the Sweelinck Conservatorium, Amsterdam.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
British Harpsichord Society
- Tell me about some of your current students.
At the moment I have piano students ranging from year 1 of primary school to 2nd year of university. My harpsichord pupils tend to be enthusiastic adult amateurs or post-graduate students. I arrange an annual weekend harpsichord course, piano master-classes and visits to see antique instruments for my students. Some of my piano pupils will take the opportunity to try their baroque pieces on the harpsichord and some will actually move from one instrument to the other.
