Methodology

My classes are composed of Hatha and Ashtanga sequences that allow the body to feel rooted. Through strong steady movement, the mind can untangle, take a step back and allow the Self to shine. Asanas are cleverly interwoven for a seamless experience that will leave you feeling fresh, restored and ready for the challenges and opportunities that life presents us with.

Experience

I am a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher. I studied in Yoga Vidya Mandiram, Rishikesh, India. I am qualified to teach Hatha, Ashtanga, Yoga Nidra, Yin yoga, and meditation. I gained 14 hours in yoga anatomy and physiology under Andrew Mcgonigle (Doctor-Yogi). I also took a Yoga teacher intensive course with Patrick Beach and Carling Harps.

I taught morning flow classes in Yoga Nest, Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow and substitute for beginners and mixed flow classes.
I taught advanced, vinyasa and hot yoga in My Yoga Body, Dun Laoghaire. I taught in Westwood Gym, and beginners classes at the Happy Pear in Greystones.

My yoga values are that Yoga is for any Body. Understand that your body is yours -- it's a tool, a gift, impermanent and beautiful. My second value is knowing you are more than your body. You are more than your mind. You are energy, life, light.

I want my classes to help people connect with their body; learn again how to move and breathe in a way that grounds you. Use this movement to quiet the mind and feel your real Self.

My mission is that through movement, pranayama, and positive energy, people can create change for themselves and spark positive change all around. By doing yoga we can learn to know and love who we really are and in doing so allow others to love and know who we really are.

Personal Profile:
As a yoga teacher, I want to create classes that make people feel at home both in their minds and bodies.

I wish to make yoga accessible to all individuals, giving them the power to love their bodies and to quieten negative chatter. Through mindful movement, light and fast flows to detox the body and coordinating deep and powerful breath, students will grow strong in their hearts, minds and in the physical body.

Nourishing the heart is key; once we listen to the heart then the body will grow from the foundation students have crafted in class; becoming flexible, body aware and empowered to maintain their practice at home and in class.

Jenna brings a great balance of sensitivity/compassion and encouragement/motivation to her work as a yoga teacher. She encourages us to be mindful in the practice; to listen to our bodies, to connect with our breath and with where we're at in our practice, while still motivating us to meet our edges.

Had never tried yoga before but gave this class a go for January. I did the back to basics which was a gentle introduction was the perfect way to unwind on a Monday evening. The classes are great and Jenna has a lovely calming way of teaching. Now in my second month and couldn’t recommend the classes enough. 10/10
