About Jodi
With my extensive teaching experience, I am confident I can be a tutor who will help you excel in the topic you want to learn. I have taught both in-class and online, so I am very familiar with the challenges students may face in the classroom.
I have classes of up to 25 children, and I never failed at giving each one of my students my undivided attention. My biggest priority is always instilling confidence and independence, so that way you will continue to be successful outside of the classroom.

Our sessions will always be student-focused. "I utilize the Socratic method in my teaching approach, which involves guiding my students towards answers through the use of questions instead of simply providing them with the correct information outright. I base my lessons around topics that are of particular interest to you, as the student. This could be anything from travel, to sports, to animals, and beyond. The possibilities are truly endless!
In a typical lesson, I will concentrate on the specific area of the English language that you need to improve, while still covering all aspects of it. Communication and accuracy are always important and will be emphasized in the lessons.
My aim is to make the lessons engaging and enjoyable and tailored to your individual learning style. I will focus on the material that you like and teach it in a way that works best for you.
For teaching English as a second language, I specialize in working with elementary school children (grades 1-8). For my adult students, I specialize in developing conversation skills, but I am willing to work on other skills as well!
