Hi, I’m Tamara.
I am a final year university student studying design and I and would like to teach adult learners, A-level and GCSE level. I always enjoy helping people reach there potential and am happy to help with all areas of design including design principles, software, editorial, branding, strategy design as well as university applications, portfolio prep, interview tips for design or creative courses.
I have studies and worked in the creative industry, specialising in graphic and media design and can help with Btec, GCSE, A-level, and foundation design work. I am also happy to help with university applications, portfolio prep, interview tips for design/creative courses and adobe suite software.
I am also dyslectic and so have personal experience overcoming this difficulty, if this is something you have found difficult I am in a position to guide you and help you overcome them too.
January 2015 to current, Freelance Graphic Designer.
I produce graphic design outcomes on a freelance basis. Some of my clients include: Ten Grand Arcade, Insightful, Box the Sky, Reflex and Jewish Women’s Aid.
January 2017 to June 2017, In Kind Direct, Graphic Design and Marketing.
I was part of the marketing and design team at In Kind Direct. My role involved re-designing all the marketing collateral and completing the new website design.
December 2016, Editorial Intern
I completed a one-month internship at ICON magazine and designed a range of article layouts in the February issue.
February 2013 to April 2016, Book keeper for Julian Lewis & Co
My role includes inputting accounts including petty cash and invoices both payable and receivable.
16.1.15 -18.1.15 - Exhibited at the V&A
I displayed my work at the Victoria & Albert museum as part of the Disobedient event.
My piece was about The Umbrella Movement. It included a protest wall, much like the one in Hong Kong, along with photography provided to me by the protesters.
15.7.16 to 30.7.16, Route Artlantique: African Creative Laboratory
A two week design program traveling though Senegal, West Africa. I worked with local artists to learn new ways of making and designing, as well as the value of reusing materials to create artwork.
18.3.16 to 31.3.16, Penguin House, Intern
A two week work placement in the book service centre of DK publishing. I helped to prepared books for the upcoming book fair.
26.5.14 to 3.7.14, PaperBoy JA, Kingston, Jamaica, Work Experience
A six week work placement in a graphic design and print company. I learnt the software used in industry which includes Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign (Adobe Suite), as well as having an insight into how a design is developed from an idea to a fully finished
printed piece of work. Throughout my placement I successfully produced flyers, leaflets and business cards for customers, with my work occasionally being selected by the client over the in house graphic designer.

I have completed work experience in graphic design and advertising with the company Chi & Partners.
June to August 2011, Clement James Community Centrer, Volunteering
I volunteered at Clement James Community Centre in Notting Hill. I helped to make costumes and decorations for a group of children participating in the Notting Hill Carnival.
