Teaching is my vocation. I am a people person and enjoy helping students achieve their full potential. I especially love to see how together we can make mathematical concepts more straight forward so that in a very short space of time you can gain the confidence to use your knowledge at an examination level. I have had first-hand experience with my own children of the frustrations that learning mathematics can bring and this has developed my ability to empathise with students and become a compassionate, flexible and student-centred teacher/tutor.
First and foremost I am a mathematics specialist with over 25 years of experience in school management in various roles such as Head of Department, Head of House, and Assistant Head of Academics. I am very experienced in all aspects of the educational journey and have extensive knowledge of different courses and exam boards. I am also an examiner which helps me to keep regularly updated in any curriculum changes and exam styles. I have taught 1000's of students over my career helping them to achieve the best that they can achieve with the majority going onto studying to further education level at top universities worldwide.

Jill was my IB maths studies teacher. This is typically a two year course, but I only joined in the final year. Jill was very helpful (and patient!) in making sure I caught up on the items of the syllabus that I had missed from the prior year. I really enjoyed my maths lessons with Jill and would definitely recommend her.
Jill is the most fantastic tutor, she has the right balance between being firm and kind and has huge patience. Jill is simply one of the best teachers and tutors that I have come across in all the years of my son's education.
Ms. Pearson's passion for teaching and mathematics resulted in me understanding the subject and giving me results better than I ever thought I would get. She constantly found new ways to inspire her students and brightened up the classroom everytime she entered.
She remains one of the most influential people that I had the luck to be taught by in my secondary education. Her teachings of using numbers for analysis inspired me to pursue a career in Revenue Management.
