A caring and patient teacher, my aim is for you to enjoy learning to play the violin or viola, while also learning good technique and posture to enable you to excel.

I teach violin, viola, and music theory to all ages.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Master of Music from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Ottawa in Canada.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £35 per hour, or £20 for a half-hour lesson.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at my home on Cottonmill Lane in St Albans, Hertfordshire. It is within walking distance to both St Albans City and St Albans Abbey station, and bus routes.
- When are you available?
As a freelance musician, my schedule is flexible, with availability weekdays/evenings. I teach term time and am also available during most school holidays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all levels from age 6 to adult.

ABRSM exams, Trinity exams

With a little work, everyone is capable of learning to play an instrument - take pride in your achievements and have fun!
- What kind of experience do you have?
Currently I teach violin lessons and cello group classes in schools for Lewisham Music Service, and I have taught private music lessons for a number of years.
Having played violin and viola for many years, I enjoy a varied musical career. I freelance with various orchestras, and have been a member of the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra and l'Orchestre de la francophonie. I enjoy playing in the pit for musicals, and have played for the touring show Video Games Live. I also have a love for chamber music, and my string quartet, the Keats Quartet, plays concerts in London and across the UK.

Yes - most recently done in February 2017.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I studied with Rennie Regehr at the University of Ottawa in Canada, where I won the Gaston HÃ©on Undergraduate Scholarship in Music and the Aruna& Rupa Anantaraman Violin Scholarship while completing my Bachelor of Music degree. I also studied with Richard Crabtree and Walter Reiter at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where I received a Trinity Laban Scholarship and completed my Master of Music degree.
