Cultivating 'can do' attitudes I redefine borders as I teach I.B. theatre. A legacy of sustained innovation over eighteen years, in five major international schools, provides the insight and experience to innovate performance ideas. I facilitate aesthetic communicators able to enchant and imprint; young performers with infectious, pioneering spirits able to tell the untold.
H.O.L.A! (Help Others Look Amazing)
Helping others look amazing is a major tenet of ensemble. My workshops provide insight into ways individuals can synthesize ideas, remove the habitual and be individually expressive to convey the magic of the moment. Hola, an acronym for Help Others Look Amazing! is a powerful procedure that empowers the process. Sharing how to apply Hola as an ensemble practice, guides people to connect the unconnected in unexpected ways. My abilities arise from experiences with vulnerability. Practical challenges ensue that diminish negative attitudes. Thus, young people are enabled to intellectually challenge themselves as they discover heroes only they truly will know. Themselves.
Specialisms A Include:
Collaborative redirection, to devise, produce, and present performance.
Shining a different light to liberate thought and create Ensemble.
Applying collaborative trust techniques for individual self-discovery.
Practical application of the ‘Theatre Triage’, a powerful tool to break old habits and develop fresh ones. Expressive presentation and public speaking skills to tell the untold.
Directing spectacle and music theatre, inspiring young people to seek not merely to see.
Constructivist approaches to the architecture of practical performance.
Techniques for self-expression, self-learning and social change.
Specialisms B include: Granting young performers aesthetic autonomy.
Facilitating workshops to build Ensemble, able to design, direct, produce and present visual narratives. Evaluating potency of existing facilities, to align places and spaces 21st-century learning goals. Inform planning and development of Performing Arts Centres (five to date). Empowering students to connect the unconnected in unexpected ways, to transcend the ordinary and create their own realities infused with magical meaning.
