- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Physics and Mathematics. I have studied both of these subjects to high levels - during my A-Levels and throughout my degree. I generally offer individual tuition in these subjects, although group lessons of up to four students are also available, at a significantly discounted individual rate.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BSc in Physics from Imperial College London, achieved with 1st class honours. I will be studying Medicine at Oxford University from september 2013. I achieved four A's at A-Level, in Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Chemistry. I gained 6 A*s and 4 As at GCSE.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £40.00 per hour for all levels of tuition.
- Where do you teach?
I prefer to teach from my home in Oxford. This way I can guaranty a pleasant and focussed working environment. I am willing to travel to students' houses, however this may involve an additional charge for travel time/expenses. I also tutor online via Skype (see below), with a 10% discount offered.
- When are you available?
I am free at weekends, and I also have various availability during the weeks - just get in touch and we'll arrange the most convenient time for you.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach at all levels from Key Stage 3 to A-Level, regardless of age.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I tutor online via Skype. I use an integrate graphics pad, and a screen sharing function.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
I always strive to tailor my teaching sessions to each individual student. I believe that this maximises both the benefit of the tuition, and the success of the student.
- What kind of experience do you have?
Over the past two years, I have gained extensive experience in tutoring Physics and Mathematics to students of a wide range of abilities, and to all levels from KS3 to A-Level. Over this time, I have amassed over 150 hours of teaching. I have also gained experience in many other working environments, for example in an operating theatre, where I learnt invaluable organisation, communication and professionalism skills.
