I have 2 teaching methods that for me are essential and obviously it depends on the personality of the child.
One more theoretical: french being known as one of the most difficult language grammar wise, my methodology consists of explaining, exercising and of course learning by heart.
One more practical: french is a beautiful speaking language but can get easily tricky so practising the speaking is very important. This way, the child will get more confident, will do mistakes but will get understood and that is the most important part (at first)
It's never 50-50 because the child has to feel comfortable with this structure as well. In my opinion, he or she will learn faster.
Right now, I am a student at UAL doing a Fashion Media Production MA.
I have been giving lessons since I started university to kids in the building I was living in.
