I want you to learn the easiest way, while learning effectively. I know how it feels to 'learn' a language because I speak Spanish. This way I teach my lessons the way I learnt Spanish, with passion and determination. I will show you the best way to learn and because I understand how frustrating it can be together we will conquer the art of learning English!
I am a native English speaker from the UK and I started teaching English (TEFL) in Mexico 17 years ago at the Anglo Mexicano, which is an adult language school for those wanting to excel in English. I have never looked back. I was so passionate about it I started my own business and began to teach Business English to companies around Mexico City. I hired several teachers as I had so many requests for classes and we were busy for years. It was a wonderful experience! On returning to the UK I decided to go into training as well as teaching and this enabled me to stay in schools within the Education sector. I worked as a Training Consultant for many years, training teachers and students alike how to use the new technology in their classrooms, the Interactive Whiteboard! It was a new revelation to how we learn and many countries spent millions on improving their education by installing these whiteboards. This allowed me to travel all over the world, but in particular back to my beloved Mexico and also to South America where I had never visited before. I wanted to professionally teach as well as train and I took a year out to take my professional exams as a Teacher (PGCE). I then taught Business, Law, Accounts and Finance at University level. I missed travelling and teaching English and this brings me back to you! I now offer easy ways to learn English (native speaker) and Spanish (non native but fluent) online anytime and anywhere! See you soon!
Professional Profile
I am a highly experienced bi-lingual Teacher and Training Consultant; Teacher and Business Development Manager with sophisticated communication, business and language skills in tourism, education and industry. More recently this training knowledge has led me to the Payment Card Industry where I have worked exclusively for the past 5 years.
I have skills in public speaking to a wide range of audiences, in both English and Spanish. My teaching skills commenced in 2001 when I worked at the prestigious El Anglo Mexicano (a British/Mexican collaboration) school in Mexico City. This experience followed on from my qualification in TEFL. I later went into industry as a Business Development Manager where I gained invaluable skills of motivation, high level communication and team building. My PGDE (UK teaching qualification) was gained in 2009 and since then I have worked as a part-time lecturer for the University Centre of Blackburn College, which has helped develop and further my professional and personal attributes, and I have been actively involved in creating and providing training sessions to teachers and corporate institutions in the use of the Interactive Whiteboards and its software. I have also been actively involved in voluntary mentoring sessions to local start up entrepreneurs.
My entrepreneurial skills were gained from my start-up e-commerce online business. During the period in the Asia-Pacific market I worked full time in a Consultation, Sales, Training and Assessment role, within the Corporate and Education sectors, for a National Audio/Visual Supplier and Software Solution company.
