My lessons always aim to leave the student eager for the next one. Whether they like History or not.
We start by going over what they have been learning in their normal classes, and by using the SQA guidelines and cooperation with school teachers, we work to answer questions they still have on their class and then do some background work on their next lesson. The goal being a student who can confidently walk into their class with solid knowledge of what they have previously learnt and confidence in what they are about to.
I received a total mark of 48/50 in my Advanced Higher dissertation and achieved the highest score my high school had seen in over a decade. I use my excellent writing technique to allow my students to hopefully achieve the same.
I have been giving lessons for less than one year.
I have taught 3 students, 2 of which have been extended family.
(For personal reasons I have removed their names but references will be provided)
Student A: Advanced Higher History A
Student B: Higher English B
Student C: Higher History B
I am going into my third year of BA History after the summer break. I currently track to leave with a 2:1.
I have an Advanced Higher in History, as well as Higher and Standard Grade History.
I worked within several classes during my final year of high school, helping to plan lessons and teach history to beginners as well as Higher students.
