I am looking for students currently taking GCSE's or A Level's, who are excited to learn, motivated and, above all, who love history. I am a patient and empathetic teacher who will always recognise and reward hard work. Most of all I like to have fun whilst teaching, history is fun after all!
I am a recent graduate with some teaching experience. I have a history degree from the University of St Andrews and specialise in early modern British history. I have four years experience producing essays, presentations, seminar work and longer projects - including a dissertation.
I am a recent MA honours graduate from the University of St Andrews seeking to make the first
steps in my professional career. I am a hard-working, dedicated and committed individual with the
drive and desire to succeed in every task I am given. I consider myself to be an approachable,
polite and friendly person and am able to build effective relationships and work well in a team, yet
also thrive under pressure and work independently with minimal supervision. I work
conscientiously, enthusiastically and optimistically and can motivate myself and others around
Four years of academic study have allowed me to develop and perfect strong analytical and
research skills, receiving an Upper Second Class mark. My end of study dissertation is a
particular example of this, as I was afforded a great deal of freedom in choosing the subject, allowing me to really test my research and report writing skills, with little guidance and
As an outgoing and proactive person, I involved myself with as many societies as possible at
University, raging from fund-raising for Save The Children, to singing in the University choir.
Outside of work and academic study, I have a real passion for fashion/lifestyle writing and
travelling. Whilst at University and since September 2016 I was a regular writer for the student
fashion magazine LABEL and my articles have appeared on their website and print edition. I was
also a frequent blogger for the University organisation Concrete Catwalk St. Andrews, with relative
free reign over the topics and content I wrote, receiving comments from readers about the
accessibility of my writing and the usefulness of the fashion advice I give. Both experiences
inspired me to start a personal fashion blog, and all have allowed me to further develop and
enhance my writing and communication skills outside of academia. I relish any opportunity to
travel, embracing new cultures and experiences, a particular highlight being the opportunity to
undertake charity work in Kenya, fundraising, teaching, and building classrooms in rural villages.

Content Writer - 2x Unpaid Internships
Since graduating I have begun content writing internships with two start-up magazines based in
London. These require me writing around two pieces a week for each, and I have free reign over
the subject matter. I tent to concentrate on current fashion pieces or opinion pieces that generally
centre around clothes and style. The first magazine is entitled ‘Having a Nosey’, which is a fashion
magazine for women and those that identify as non-binary and its aim is to celebrate women and
female creativity within the fashion industry. Although they have no officially launched yet, my first
piece has been chosen to be in the first print edition of the magazine and the others will be
featured online. The second, ’The Land Collective’, aims to educating young people on the
business and property markets. The magazine however features a whole host of article topics,
from lifestyle and travel to fashion and beauty. Writing for both of these magazines is excellent
experience for me to practice writing different lengths of pieces, thinking up inventive topics and
sticking to tight deadlines. It is also an excellent opportunity for me to have my work published
both in print and online.
Whilst I am contributing to these publications on a regular basis, it is something I undertake in my
leisure time and would in no way impede or restrict commitment to a full time role.
