My methodology is based on my students and their learning style. However, I find that if you want things to stick and really be able to recall them when you need to then it’s best to find a way to relate that information to something you have a personal interest in. That may be media related for some students such as Music, film and TV, Artists and their works or it may come in the form of fiction or even graphic novels. There is a way to get pupils to engage with their subjects and together we will find it.
I’m currently looking to become a qualified teacher, and am looking to get started online rather than wait until classrooms open back up. I’m a history graduate but I also took English language as an A-level and got an A in that, I’m also an avid reader and a decent writer hoping to help in any way I can. I’ve done one on one tutoring for GCSE students in the past albeit for the children of friends of my family.
