I am looking to tutor GCSE, A level, and IB students who are struggling with their foundation in Mathematics, Physics, Business, Geography, and/or Economics. I am also willing to find students who excel in these subjects and would like a tutor to push him/her.
My method of instruction usually starts by talking to the student about their weaknesses in that subject as well as their strengths. I then move on to the theory while giving my students multiple worksheets so they can further understand and use the theory they have just learned.
I grew up in Hong Kong and Shanghai with parents from France and Belgium. I am currently a first-year student at University College London, planning to major in History, Politics, and Economics. I have previously studied for one year at Bentley University in Boston, where I was pursuing a Finance degree with a minor in History and Computer Science.
I have previous experience tutoring young kids between the ages of 7 and 17 and levels varying from Primary school to GCSE's, A-levels and IB (International Baccalaureate).
Hugo tutored me throughout the IB (International Baccalaureate) as I was struggling in HL Geography and HL Business Management. He boosted my confidence hugely as at the beginning of IB I found it really difficult to grasp the new concepts in these subjects in particular. He helped me by breaking down the tough concepts into a much simpler way of understanding and eventually my grades were a lot better. He has a kind, patient approach to teaching and is very organised. I highly recommend him as a tutor.
