I am a enthusiastic, hardworking and approachable full qualified teacher with a great passion for teaching and helping people realise their potential. I qualified as a History teacher in 2012 and am hugely passionate about my subject. I am currently in the process of completing a MA in Education at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. In my spare time I love to travel and spend a lot of time visiting historical sites!
Whilst at university, I participated in the voluntary Right to Read scheme, carrying out one-on-one tutoring with primary school children. In the field of work, I have also provided training to adult colleagues in multiple roles.
After completing my PGCE I spent 5 years working as secondary school teacher in various schools in the South Wales area, including high-achieving and ALN. I am also an examiner for the WJEC examination board at GCSE and A-Level. Although History is my passion I have experience teaching various other subjects including English (Literature and Language).
Approach to Tutoring
I use a variety of different methods when teaching and believe that it is important to engage students. I believe that each student is different and therefore will need a different method when being tutored. Tutees can expect a friendly tutor with a good sense of humour, who is dedicated to the individual and to them achieving their full potential.
