Having achieved an A* at gcse level, and going on to study Maths as an A-level, i have a good understanding of the subject and the theory behind it. I offer lessons for 11+ exams, GSCE's and anyone who struggles with Maths from a young age up to GCSE level who would like help with homework and/or wishes to improve their skills.
I am a final year university student studying history. I have previously helped younger students in my high school and sixith form in Maths in preparation for their 11+ exams. I have helped friends and family with Maths homework and exam past papers.
I am a final year student at De Montfort University, Leicester. I was the sole student selected to spend my second year studying at University of Maryland, America. I posses the quality of being tenacious, as a positive individual I strive to achieve my set goals, overcome obstacles and continuously learn from the whole experience. An example of this was preparing for, undergoing the vigorous application process and ultimately succeeding in being selected to study in the USA. I will always be willing to step out of my comfort zone as I enjoy undertaking new experiences; examples of this is when I organised and hosted a charitable fundraising event, and spending a year studying abroad, without a support network in a challenging unfamiliar environment. I posses exceptional interpersonal skills gained from having delivered various aspects of customer service. From practice I have honed effective communication skills as working in one of the busiest international airports involved overcoming language barriers, being sensitive to cultural differences, handling pressure and stress from passengers. I have experience of problem solving including having to react to immediate unforeseen incidents. An example of this was when I worked at Manchester International airport and effectively dealt with upset customers who threw their items on the floor, refusing to wait in line, displaying aggressive and difficult behaviour. I enjoy working hard and remain effective under pressure, for example I have consistently achieved all deadlines set. I always ensure I plan ahead including contingency ensuring my workload is organised and prioritised, whilst also making time for social activities. Having to participate in group presentations has provided me with good communication skills and the ability to be a supportive team player, this means that I can use my own initiative, but also I am not afraid to ask for help, aswell as assist other team members.

In Year 9 I mentored children in the Prep department in both Maths and english once to twice a week. Each sesion was different, as I had to work in 1-on-1 sessins as well as with large groups.
As a sixith former I helped to mentor Year 5 children in Maths in order to help improve their skills. I worked in the classroom with the same group of children twice a week, as they needed extra help with the work, i would have to explain what the teacher had taught them and help them to complete the worksheet if any problems arose. The main goal was to help the srudents reach a good standard for their upcoming 11+ exams.
I have experience from my degree in using Microsoft Office applications
