I consider myself a fun, responsible and hardworking person who does all her best to prepare dynamic and entertaining learning lessons. I take pride in striking up relationships with my students and personalising their learning and listening to their needs and suggestions.
I employ a student-centred approach that checks how the students feel regarding their own progression and offers encouragement at all times.
My classes follow a communicative approach being conversational skills the main focus. My classes follow a logical structure and are predominantly delivered in the target language so to increase exposure to the language. Each class will try and cover all of the skills associated with learning a language i.e. listening, writing, reading and speaking through the use of activities that will prepare you for everyday scenarios. I prepare and provide my students with all the activities, handouts, references, podcasts and useful resources to supplement their learning, all tailored to the students' specific goals. Homework is marked outside the lessons to maximise your time in the class.
All this experience has helped me to refine my lessons which are delivered in a clear and concise manner and at a suitable pace. I utilise different forms of media when appropriate to engage and deliver the objectives of the lesson.

Regardless of the aim, I always use my passion for languages to increase students' passion too.
I also have experience teaching large groups. I currently work at the Adult Education Centre for Coventry City Council and also deliver Spanish to businesses such as Deloitte, Ferrovial and a Premier League Football Club. Previous experience includes working as a Spanish tutor in Coventry Univeristy and as a Spanish teacher at Albert Bradbeer Primary Shool.

I have been having lessons with Silvia for just over a year now and both my speaking and listening skills have improved dramatically. Silvia’s lessons are always interesting and challenging. She is always friendly and very quick to reply to all messages and requests. A truly great tutor !
Witnessing Silvia's patience and excellence when trying to teach my hopeless husband Spanish was inspiring. She was wonderful! When we went to Spain on our honeymoon the waiters would answer him in rapid Spanish believing he was a local!
Always on time, friendly and professional, I cannot recommend enough!
I’ve had lessons with Silvia for over a year and half now, and feel my Spanish has come a long way over that time after starting from basics. Silvia has helped me develop strong listening and speaking skills using a variety of approaches and activities in class. Not only are her lessons well thought out and targeted to my needs (DELE examinations) but outside of lessons she’s always quick to mark homework, respond to queries and reply to emails. I would definitely recommend.
Silvia has been my tutor for around 3 years. I have also referred her to friends children for GCSE tuition and my partner for basic Spanish.
Silvia really developed my Spanish speaking skills and confidence. I’d definitely recommend her for all levels of Spanish learning. Overall a friendly and very competent tutor.
