I prefer to customise my lessons to my students. The first thing to understand when approaching examinations within the Arts is that learning is not one size fits all, and what works for one will not work for others. I deliver my lessons in a focused manner and will usually start by delivering the core information portion of the class, before following up with helpful techniques for revision, information retention, and how the information covered may translate to an essay if needed. My primary goal is to provide support for my students, and give them the tools they need to succeed within an academic environment.
I am presently a final year student at the University of Glasgow studying Theology & Religious Studies. I specialise primarily in helping students with exam preparation and essay writing techniques, as well as being a proficient proofreader for that extra peace of mind before submission. I hope that with my broad background of knowledge of subjects within the humanities, and both state and university-level exams and essays, I can be a guide for students who require that extra bit of help.
Very thorough! I really struggle with grammar and find that I always go over word limits on essays! Emily manages to make the piece sound more fluid yet concise. I always trust her work, she has definitely taken my pieces from a low to a high A
