Have you ever thought about society and wondered why it is the way it is; why it exists in this form and not in alternative arrangements which are common in dystopian novels? Or, by contrast, why society hasn't elevated to such a level where it can only be called a utopia? These questions are vital for our understanding of the past, present and future and it is what I am determined to explore through my way of teaching.
My methodology is simple; it is undertaking complex questions through simple language. It is common for sociological, political and philosophical texts to get lost in superfluous language which could easily impede a students' passion for the disciplines. Hence, in these lessons, complex ideas will be deciphered from their intellectual make-up and translated in a digestible way.
The second most important aspect of my methodology is teaching through a historical framework. It is vital to understand concepts in relations to their historical particularities, as well as in the conversations of today. Through my lessons, you will have a clearer understanding of how our societies came to be and how they can be transformed in the future.
I support my class with fun and accessible content, personalised PDF's for every person's individual needs and enlightening questions students can take away and incorporate into their everyday lives. In addition, students will have access to my vast library of books which are crucial for top-class essays.
This course is for the architects of the future! Come learn with me.
My indispensable journey began at A-Levels where I studied Sociology, Politics, History and Law. Here I was introduced to a library of theories, concepts and thinkers which consequently changed my perspective on life forever. Around the same time, I joined a political party and participated in various events across my constituency.
Since then, I have graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London - one of the nation's leading academic and research institutions known for its progressive politics - with a BA (Hons) in Sociology & Politics. During my time there, I would support my friends ensuring they reach their desired grades. Now I would like to take one step further and teach professionally as I have a strong passion for the sharing of knowledge.
My future ambitions rest in politics and empowering the youth of today.
