I am a professor of linguistics. I received my BA in language education from Capital Normal University, China, a university specializing in teacher training. I got my MA and PhD in language education from Beijing Normal University, the very top teacher-training university in China.

GBP 25 per person per hour, negotiable for group lessons.

I can teach at home and at the student's home nearby Balham London or Waterloo in central London. I can travel for up to an hour.

Mandarin Chinese is my native language. Working in a university in Beijing as a professor of linguistics teaching English as a foreign language, I have good knowledge of language acquisition mechanisms, education theories, standard Mandarin and English. Bilingualism, expertise in language education and 18 years of teaching experience make it easy for me to understand my students well, to anticipate the difficulties they come across and most importantly, to help them make progress.
