My teaching method really depends on the student's needs and skills. Learning is a very subjective experience and I always adapt lessons and pace on each student I'm tutoring.
When it comes to languages, I tend to use an 'immersive' approach, with consistent use of the target language. However, if the lessons are aimed to exams-based results, grammar becomes a main focus.
I am a native Italian, with a nearly-native English language level.
I work as a French tutor and I have been giving lesson for about three years now. I hold a First Class degree from the University of Strathclyde and I have extensive experience with leading small to medium-sized group classes and one to one tutoring experience.
As for underage students, parents might want to know that I hold a PVG scheme and have plenty of experience with all age groups (from Primary 1 up to Advanced Higher)
Learning Manager at Articulate Language Camps
Employment opportunity that followed a successful 10-week, full-time summer internship.
During workshops and residential camps, I teach and lead a variety of language activities and projects for small groups of children in French and Italian. Articulate provided me with training in pedagogy, communication and language teaching in order to better fulfil my roles. Together with delivering programmes, my responsibilities included international marketing, resource development and multilingual business administration.
Working with Articulate has given me the chance to use language skills on a daily basis while teaching pupils at camps/workshops and using the language in the office to create resources, speak to foreign customers and develop marketing materials for specific countries.

I arrived in Glasgow a few months ago for a university placement. My English has always been fairly decent, but I found myself struggling with the accent here and assignments. Francesca helped me a lot with my English and I feel more confident now about speaking to people in a foreign language.
Francesca helped me with my French before I started my internship in Perpignan. Her classes were fun and she adjusted the course to my learning objectives. We met at cafes, bars and even my place once as I could not make it to our regular weekly class. Our time together was so enjoyable that I did not even feel stressed about making mistakes or saying the wrong thing in French! Francesca suggested listening to Francophone music and watch tv series and movies in French in my spare time, and this made a huge difference in building my confidence in speaking French. Her style of teaching is relaxed, but her methods are effective and fun. I recommend Francesca to anyone who wants to enjoy learning a language and especially to those who might not practise the language every day. Thank you for your help, Francesca!
Francesca is a very nice girl with a passion for teaching. she helped me with my spoken Italian and I warmly recommend her.
I was looking to learn some Italian as I was offered a short-term job in Venice and a friend recommended Francesca. I have never been good at languages and in all honesty I never really enjoyed them. For this reason, I was skeptical at the beginning as I didn't think I was going to learn much - but the lessons with Francesca have proved me wrong!
I feel like I've learnt a lot and Francesca has always been patient with me. She provided me with useful material I still use today and even baked cakes for our lessons. I really recommend her!
