Humanities student looking to teach essay writing fo subjects like English/History etc. at KS3 and GCSE level.
Methodology
I am very much an individually-focused teacher. I am happy to guide you through your syllabus requirements, or teach you through various concepts, techniques and tips outside of any syllabus. Everything will be very hands on and practical - we will get down and do some writing! I have experience working with all ages and abilities of students, and can adapt to your needs. I can work on any scale and intensity - if wanted I am happy to mark work outside of lesson time (for free, of course) or set 'homework' tasks - however, if this is not wanted, there is no need for it. I'd love to get to know you and our lessons should be fun and sociable, but at the same time academically intensive and rewarding. I think that being a student myself, I am able to achieve this balance well. Hope to teach you soon!
Experience
I am a sixth-form student taking History, Ancient History, Greek and Latin. I acheived 13 A*s at GCSE, including in subjects such as History, English Language, English Literature, Ancient History and others. I have also won awards in the international NCH essay competition (which had over 5,000 entries) and another a Fitzwilliam College Cambridge essay competition.
I have had experience teaching several GCSE students; I am also experienced in teaching both primary students and KS3. I am based in Cambridge and happy to adapt to your needs.
