My teaching method is adapted to the student's need. It can either be being a step ahead of that what she/he might be studying, reexplaining or catching up. I always tend to divide a lesson between the lesson in itself and the practice as it is more important for a student to practice and to master the material rather than cramming it.
I am a positive and dynamic 3rd year Civil Engineering student at Imperial College.
I enjoy tutoring at all levels, I focus on tutoring Math and Science as it is my area of interest.
I am personally a good student who achieved well on his exams (The French equivalent to the A-LEVEL) with:
I managed to achieve those high grades by being disciplined but also because I revised for French exams by training with both the A-Level and IB curriculums meaning I am highly familiar with all three curriculums.
My method of teaching is to adapt myself to the student's need in order for him/her to thrive. Despite getting high grades, I know what it feels like not to be able to understand a concept at first glance. In addition, I know far too well that for Math and Science, in general, there is no point into trying to cram information as it would never work, the best method is a combination good methodology and practice.
With new students, my approach is to understand their own goal: catching up, getting more proficient, preparing in advance.., to access their prior knowledge/understanding and finally to design a plan in order for them to achieve their objectives.
With hard work and a good methodology, it is possible for everyone to be better at Math and Science.
As a student who was accepted at Imperial College, I can also help students with the admission process and give advice/tips if needed in order to ace exams but also to stand out during the admission process.
