Imperial College graduate and experienced (12 years) A-level / GCSE Maths teacher offering private tutoring in London
Methodology
After an initial conversation with the student and parent/guardian I come up with a personalised learning plan based on the student's goals and current level. My teaching style focuses on making complex topics simple with clear, concise explanations supplemented by worked out examples and exercises to practice on. Aside from producing outstanding results for my GCSE and A-level classes, I also have experience on leading on curriculum teams and as an examiner.
Experience
I did my undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Imperial College before doing the Teach First programme. I stayed in schools for 12 years progressing rapidly to Vice Principal whilst teaching GCSE and A-level Mathematics with exceptional results. I also have an MBA from London Business School. I had the pleasure of being tutored Mathematics by Mr Karthik for several years through GCSE and A-levels. The teaching approach; begins with how and why the idea came about, followed by inductive and deductive reasoning to cement the idea and finally analytical problem solving to enrich the discovery of the nuances of the topic.
