Imperial College London Biological Sciences second year student offering tutoring in biology, chemistry, physics and maths up to Alevels standard.

Methodology

My teaching methodology is to try and get my students thinking. Instead of telling them what they need to know, I would try and guide students via questions to discover the answers for themselves. I end the tutoring sessions with academic questions related to the lesson we just had to challenge and test whether the students have learnt the concepts taught during the duration of the tutoring session. I will also teach the students strategies and exam techniques that would help them get the maximum out of their knowledge.

Experience

I am a second year Biological Sciences student and I have been giving personal tutoring lessons for primary school and secondary school students since 2018. I have had experience in tutoring dyslexic students and hence am very patient in tutoring. I have achieved silver for multiple physics and chemistry British Olympiads and have achieved gold in mathematics senior challenge for 3 years in a row before going into university.

I am an Imperial College London Student and I teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths from GCSEs to Alevels. I teach via understanding instead of memorising as I believe that as long as you understand the concepts in which science is trying to teach you, the remembering part would come naturally. In a lesson, I would explain areas in science in which the student needs help upon, following it up with some past paper questions to make sure that the student has fully grasped the knowledge in that specific area.
