Achievements and Previous Tutoring Experience
• Led a class of excelling Year 8 pupils, focusing on preparing them for their UKMT Junior Maths Challenge.
• Travelled to two schools in India with a team of Emanuel School students to teach English. Planned tailored lessons for classes ranging from 6 to 14 years of age.
• Was employed part-time by a visually impaired A-level English teacher, aiding with coursework marking and administration. Moved to remote working during the coronavirus lockdown.
• Achieved Gold in the UKMT Senior Mathematical Challenge in 2018 and 2019. Competed in the British Mathematical Olympiads rounds 1 and 2, placing me in the top 0.1% of the country.
• Participated in the Regional Final of the UKMT Senior Team Mathematical Challenge in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
• Competed in the UK final of the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge in 2020.
• Completed the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.

Skills:
I have good analytical and problem-solving abilities, which have been heightened by my time spent with mathematics and chess. These have also allowed me to successfully mentor secondary school pupils, up the age of 17.
I think creatively and can come up with new ideas, which aids in my poetry and filmmaking. At school, I won both the poetry and film competitions for three years running, with short films that include both poetry and abstract animations. I passed my Grade 7 Piano examination in 2019, play the guitar and song-write.
As a result of performing poetry and music in front of audiences, and by speaking in front of parents at school events, I have become an adept public speaker and am able to write exceptionally in English.
I am proficient with computers and technology, and able to use online platforms to teach, write and communicate effectively. Being a committed member of the Emanuel rowing squad and leading the Prefect team as Head Boy have taught me good communication skills – especially in a team – and dedication to a pursuit.
