I liken learning improvisation to learning how to speak ( like learning a language) and take students from the early stages of improvising to learning how to play creative melodic lines. Available as a group lesson only either as a SKYPE lesson or at a centre

Course setup

As an ex student of Leeds College of Music I have been fine tuning my approach to teaching improvisation and have helped many students unlock their creative thinking and become fluent improvisers. I have been a professional trumpet player and worked in many different mediums ranging from Dixieland jazz through to free jazz with national and international artists. Many students have taken exams or gone on to colleges or ended up as professional musicians themselves
