I'm a very 'hands on' tutor as I believe that active participation is a great way to learn.
By listening to the needs of the student, projects can be tailored to suit the individual.
I am positive and motivational in my teaching style which I believe increases confidence and satisfaction in the outcome.
I think experimentation is vital and that perceived mistakes or failures usually lead to something much greater and successful.
Over time the student will also develop a broad understanding of the subject and better judgement, enabling them to go on to study at a higher level.
I am passionate about teaching and have worked with young children through to adults. I teach all levels and abilities including GCSE and A level
My Masters in Visual Arts has enabled me to teach in University settings as well as schools and adult education venues. I am a practising Artist working mainly in acrylics and mixed media.
I make my lessons fun, inspiring and challenging to the individual.
Under 11's will be at £25

Tracy is a wonderful Artist and a positive, enthusiastic and encouraging teacher who has a wealth of knowledge and experience. I met Tracy about 7 years ago when our sons became friends. My son loves spending time at Tracy’s home and studio where he has the opportunity to explore and expand on his love of Art, using a variety of materials and techniques. I highly recommend.
I have been friends with Tracy many years; she is a true inspiration! She is kind, thoughtful, patient, talented and always makes me laugh. I am lucky enough to own one of her paintings - her artwork is stunning, with exquisite colours and texture. I saw a painting her son did after lessons with her; it was brilliant, so am naturally looking forward to her teaching my daughter through her GCSE :)
Tracy is very sensitive to people’s needs in any avenues of ife . As an art tutor she has unending patience an eye for colour and detail and a sense of humour.
We met as neighbours and are firm friends . I totally trust her and own several items of her work
Tracy is a gifted artist and she is an amazing teacher. She is enthusiastic about my children’s art work. She points out things that I never see, she is kind, patient and technically she is brilliant. She makes them love art and brings out each of their talents within the subject. Thank you Tracy
I have known Tracy for 8 years. She is trustworthy, hardworking, open and puts people at their ease. She is a very keen and committed to her profession. She has high standards and is well versed in the arts, keeping up to date with all the latest trends. She will enthusiastically converse in many aspects of art, design and styles. I would thoroughly recommend Tracy.
What could be better than being tutored by a working artist? I've known Tracy for several years and she's a great tutor as well as a great person. Art and design can be very subjective, but Tracy brings out the best in her students by building their confidence and skill, and encouraging them to find their personal creative style and voice. Tracy really understands colour, form and space both on canvas and in contemporary design. Highly recommend.
A fantastic artist who not only understands the technical aspects of painting and drawing, but embraces abstract concepts. Patient and encouraging, she will be able to help even the most struggling student. Her open and inquisitive approach will help students explore their own ideas and approaches to art and develop a solid set of skills.
