I love coming up with ways make the learning process fun, engaging and interesting, tailored to each individual student or group of students. I recognise that every pupil is different so I approach lessons in a way that is tailored to each individual, always looking for ways to improve my methods for the next lesson. I believe that optimal learning and motivation takes place when the student is enjoying themselves during the process of achieving what they want to achieve.
I am a 4th year undergraduate harpist studying at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of and Dance with a DipABRSM distinction and winner of the John Marson prize for outstanding musicianship. Prior to this I went to Chetham’s school of music in Manchester for 6 years. I began by playing the clarsach harp at 9 years old, embracing both classical and traditional irish music before moving on to the pedal harp 3 years later. I have 12 years of experience in a broad range of areas including classical solo repertoire, chamber music and orchestral music. I also love to play and teach folk, jazz and pop music!
Enhanced DBS checked.

Perfect! She is very clear in the lessons I Dee like I’ve learnt a lot already
My 10 year old son was at the stage of feeling very demotivated by his music lessons. We wanted to find a teacher who would inspire and enthuse him once again. Through Maria's personalised and bespoke lessons she has managed to reignite his interest and enjoyment. Maria is so enthusiastic about her music and the teaching of others that her passion rubs off on her students. Thank you so much, Maria.
Maria has helped me greatly with her music lessons. I am very impressed on how she is able to tailor the lessons to my needs, abilities and likings. I have greatly improved my skills and I have found her way of teaching very pleasant and easy to follow. She has been there to help me even out of lessons hours. Maria is very well organised, patient and understands that some steps can be harder than others. Thank you Maria for showing me how beautiful adventure the harp is! :) Pawel
Maria is a wonderful young harpist and musician, and is also a kind, caring and motivating person with good teaching experience already. She relates so well with children and also adults. She is a wonderful performer but also a totally committed and motivating and inspiring teacher. Highly recommended!
