In 1996 I moved from Madrid (my home town) to London and have been teaching the Spanish language since the birth of my son in 2002. Prior to this, I had worked as a Lawyer in Madrid and as a Headhunter in London. I am currently preparing my DPSI of legal interpretation at the Institute of Linguists and my 11 year old son is already fluent in Spanish. I find language and communication to be a key strength of mine and I enjoy teaching very much. I am more than happy to help you prepare for any exam, help you (from a teacher's point of view) to focus and organize your studies in order to be well prepared. Obviously, there is much more to a language than its main tools of vocabulary and grammar. There is also much more to Spain... well, you know the stereotypes! I believe that it's important to help you to enjoy the lessons as you progress and stay motivated and confident.
- What kind of experience do you have?
Teaching year 7 to A-Level: Teaching Spanish. Since 1996 until now, I have been private tutoring up to A-Level and University, Spanish conversation, translation, and I follow the new specifications for the GCSE and A level Spanish exam: reading, vocabulary, writing, translation. building grammar knowledge, listening and speaking.

My students come from a variety of different secondary schools who prepare for GCSE's and A levels. Others are adults who need and want to learn Spanish for a variety of reasons. The majority of students come to my home address. i have been studying Spanish with Isabel for a year and a half and I have noticed a significant improvement in my Spanish translation, speaking and overall grammar. She is a fantastic tutor and has really helped me to survive my GCSE's. She makes the lessons fun and easy to understand. I've never been so confident in my Spanish ability.
I have known Isabel for the last 14 years. She has a unique ability to teach the Spanish language in a way that is both fun and professional. There are many Spanish tutors to choose from in London, however I can fully recommend her to anyone interested in truly learning this language. You will not certainly not regret it. Good luck to you.
I have been tutored by Isabel for nearly a year and a half. After she was recommended to me by people I know, since then my spanish has improved in many aspects. I have become more confident. She has a very strong knowledge of the language, but what it suits as important, is her desire to put effort into her students to ensure they all do well.
