I am currently studying Russian language at university, so I perfectly know how difficult and demanding approaching a new language may be. It requires dedication and a constant work on it. Unfortunately, many teachers do not make student's life easy, as they manage to turn language lessons into never-ending session of boredom or, even worse, "torture". Therefore, as a teacher, I would adopt the following methodology: at the beginning, I would mainly focus on what students are passionate about and push their curiosity farther. This would be the basis on which to start building their knowledge. Subsequently, I would touch upon other topic equally important that students might have underestimated.
Given my experience as language learner, I would concentrate on speaking practice mostly, without overlooking grammar though.
Unfortunately, I have no practical experience in teaching. However, it has happened to me many times to be asked to give grammar lessons. I have been told I am accurate in my teaching and able to give efficient explanations of complex concepts.
I am currently following a Master in Russian Studies at UCL.
I did my BA in Italy where I studied English language and literature and Russian language and literature.
