Personalised tuition is the most effective way to learn. Lessons can be tailored to best fit your goals and learning style, you learn at the pace you choose and you achieve more in less time.
We use a mixture of materials including games and activities to practise grammar, video, audio and reading depending on your preference and learning style.
There may be homework to be completed after the session for extra practice. It's your chance to uncover any uncertainty and doubts remaining, as well as to consolidate what you learnt.

The materials used are the same as for the "in-person" classes and depend on the type of lesson/class and the level. Please notice that due to insurance restrictions I am presently unable to accept online students from the USA and Canada.
- What kind of experience do you have?
Following my degree, I spent almost 20 years in IT, first in manufacturing industries, then in retail and insurance, both in Italy and the UK.
In case you are wondering how I ended up working in IT from a Classics background, it all started with my interest in languages and a curiosity about the difference between human and computer languages. Not to mention the fact that, at the time, IT professionals were paid significantly better than linguists.
The same interest in languages, combined with an interest in working more closely with people, and understanding what motivates us all to achieve, eventually led me to a new career in tutoring and finally to working as a Life Coach and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner and Trainer.
Teaching and coaching have much in common. They are different means to help others reach excellence and fulfilment, whether in a specific skill, or subject matter, or in the whole of their life potential.

Elisa has been teaching me Italian at beginner level and I strongly believe that no-one could have done a better job. Elisa manages to achieve the almost impossible - making sure the lessons are informative, fun and effective whilst still providing the rigour to ensure that you improve after every lesson. I would whole-heartedly recommend Elisa to anyone wishing to learn to speak Italian.
I came under Elisa's wing when I was required to learn modern and medieval Italian virtually from scratch for an examination at Cambridge University at undergraduate level. Elisa's approach to lessons and tutorials is systematic which makes learning succinct and efficient. Elisa adopts a very flexible approach listening carefully to the students' requirements and tailoring the course to suit their needs. As a result I am now able to read, write and speak Italian with a good degree of ability.
The course is well structured, but is also flexible so that our requests and preferences can be accommodated. It is informal, varied and uses techniques to make learning a language interesting and enjoyable.
