IVAN BEST taught trumpet to my son between the ages of 10 and 12; throughout that time, he showed patience and imagination in his teaching. His enthusiasm helped him to move beyond the music lessons he was receiving at school, and to gain confidence by playing pieces which interested him. I would recommend Ivan to anyone wishing to expand their musical abilities, or those of other family members. Robert Hall BBC
After several years of not playing, I wanted some refresh/starter lessons. I was very glad to find Ivan. He really knows his stuff and is a friendly, committed teacher. His lessons were very productive and well-judged, and he was extremely helpful, lending me books and sheet music. I'd highly recommend him. Denny
Ivan was principle trumpet player, teacher and mentor to me whilst I served in the army band. I had confidence issues due to past experiences but Ivan helped boost my belief in my own abilities. He guided me through to diploma level where he really helped with stamina and breathing techniques. I would definitely recommend Ivan as a teacher, he is very experienced, friendly and has the knowledge to improve players of all levels. John Murril
