About the lesson

I am an enthusiastic and versatile teacher who is dedicated to providing the highest standard of lessons. I have taught for Camden Music Service since 2010.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach all brass instruments, music theory and early years music.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I have an MMus (2013) and a BMus Hons (2012) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I also have Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Grade 8 horn and Grade 8 cornet.

- How much do you charge?

£30 per hour or £20 per half hour. Discounts available for group lessons or more than one family member - please enquire.

- Where do you teach?

I teach at the student's own home and am willing to travel to anywhere within zones 1-3 in London or further if travel expenses are available.

- When are you available?

Monday - Afternnon/evening
Tuesday - afternoon/evening
Wednesday - evening
Thursday - evening

Saturday - afternoon

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

Brass - from as soon as adult front teeth have grown up to any age.
Theory and general musicianship - all ages
I teach from beginner to advanced in all subjects

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

I usually prepare my students for the ABRSM grades (I currently have 100% pass rate) but I am willing to teach to another syllabus if required. I am also in the process of training to enter students for ABRSM music medals. It is not a requirement if mine that students must do exams - I will teach to your requirements.

- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.

I am willing to teach music theory online, either via email or a video link such as Skype.

About Joanna

- What kind of experience do you have?

I have taught a variety of lessons for Camden Music Service since 2010 including individual and small group instrumental lessons, whole class wider opportunities, theory lessons, brass ensemble, general musicianship and support for children with additional learning needs. I have also been teaching privately since moving to London in 2008 with students of all abilities and ages.

I trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama from 2008 to 2013 under Jeff Bryant, David Pyatt, Richard Bissill, Hugh Seenan, Jonathan Lipton, Chris Parkes and many others.
