I met Joseph slightly after the start of my foundation in acting. I felt the need to have someone who could teach me in a one to one lesson to improve even more and reach my goal: getting into a BA acting in a drama school. He has a solid method and a systematic approach, we worked in many ways in order to achieve a great result. He gives the possibility to a student to fail, to grow and in the end he leads the student to success. His teachings have helped me getting into the BA acting at ALRA
Joseph tutored my daughter Anna for her A Level English Literature exam this year. Although he only tutored her for a few weeks prior to the exam, the work he did really helped her. Increasing her confidence by testing her knowledge of the subject, helping her understand historical context and to look at alternative views on the texts. In addition Anna really appreciated the discussion based approach.
Joe tutored my daughter in English Literature prior to her A2 examinations this summer. In my daughter's words, he was easy to get along with and understand, enthusiastic, passionate and very encouraging. She enjoyed her lessons with him very much. I would add that Joe clearly loved his subject, was extremely well read and was also patient, kind, reliable and adaptable: in short a thoroughly good teacher. I would highly recommend Joe Wilkins as a tutor.
