I graduated in Chemical Engineering, became a qualified chartered accountant (ACA) and have over a decade of post qualification experience in accounting, audit and finance. I am now taking a career break to study a PhD in Chemical Engineering. It is something I have always wanted to do and indulges my love of numbers and numerical analysis.

Perfect! Dorothy has been absolutely helpful and is very patient. I had attempted the ACA accounting paper over a month ago but narrowly missed the pass mark, despite having worked rather hard on learning the material and practising questions from the question bank. That was when I needed help from someone in pointing out what I needed to work on. After consulting her, she gave me useful tips in moving forward, and techniques of approaching the course differently. What was also especially helpful is the fact that she could clearly understand what my struggles with the course were at that time. Speaking to her also helped me to realise what my weaknesses were, and this helped me to address gaps in my knowledge more effectively. Having approached the subject differently, I saw my grade rise from the low 50s well into the higher 70s in my second attempt at the exam within a month.
