Good! Karen was not able to able accommodate my daughter but was helpful and recommended another acting tutor for her.
Karen is such a star!My work with her has transformed me.Having come for help w confidence, she gave me a push to trust my instincts & exercises to explore& play w my speeches.Karen's experience with training& the industry enables her to give invaluable advice to beginners. She offers clear, honest feedback in a nurturing environment.I highly recommend Karen to anyone looking for guidance&mentoring to help them grow as an actor. She's also the loveliest person&a lot of fun, making each session a joy
Honestly a part of me is disappointed that I got in because I can no longer have lessons w Karen. It was hard to write this because words can't express how brilliant she is.It's inspirational to work with someone so passionate&knowledgeable about theatre(See her award winning plays!).Her insights on my monologues were invaulable. She was honest(A rarity!)She went the extra mile.Auditioning painful; it's hugely competitive& I was so lucky to have Karen on my journey.I will be forever in her debt
I didn't think that I would feel confident enough to audition but now I am set on doing so.I wouldn't be in that headspace if it wasn't for Karen making me feel instantly comfortable w who I am & what I bring to characters.I second guess myself(a lot)but with her help &exercises,my inhibitions are shifting. There are lessons where I didn't know how on earth to approach a character, but by the end,I had a firm grounding. The technical knowledge &confidence I have gained from Karen is beyond help
