I am studying for a masters. (Philosophy)
I have a degree (History and Philosophy)
4 A Levels (including Philosophy)
10 GCSEs.
Also First Aid Training.

- How much do you charge?

A level: 30 an hour.
GCSE: 20 an hour.

- Where do you teach?

I will travel to you, free of charge within London.

- When are you available?

I am available during the evenings, except tuesdays when I study.

I currently teach primary age and am moving into secondary age.

Hi, I'm Katy, a personal tutor with current students and a full DBS. I have worked as a TA and a teacher, but I currently work in academics and research. I have 3 current students and am looking to take on 2 or 3 more.

Maths GCSE (I have taught the new GCSE for 2 years) - Current Students & 5 completed students
Further Mathes GCSE - Current Students
History GCSE & A-Level - 1 Student just completed A Level
Philosophy GCSE & A-Level, Logic at Degree Level.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I have a BA in History and 2 MAs (one currently studying, one complete) in Philosophy (specialism in Logic) and History.

- How much do you charge?

I charge £35/hr for GCSE and £40 for A-Level, happy to come along for an initial chat free of charge.

- Where do you teach?

I teach in the student's house. If you prefer we can meet in a library, but I like my students to get creative and active - so their house is better!

- When are you available?

I am available after school or at the weekend. I like to have a regular day - mostly directly after school (eg. 4pm, 5pm, 6pm or 7pm) is best for the student.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I teach from GCSE up to university level.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

GCSEs, A-Levels and Logic exams.

I am studying an MA in Philosophy. My specialities are in: Epistemology, Ethics, Greek philosophy, Existentialism, and especially Logic.
I have an Upper Second (2:1) in History and Philosophy.
I have 4 current tutees, at primary age level.

I have a fully up to date DBS/CRB check.

- Tell me about some of your current students.

I have 4 current students, all of Primary School age. I am looking forward to teaching GCSE and A-Level as well. I will be looking for a position as a Philosophy teacher/Lecturer when my MA is over.

- What kind of experience do you have?

I have worked as TAs and a Teacher and I have been tutoring since 2013. I have worked as a Maths teacher and an Advanced Teaching Assistant in Maths.

I have a full DBS, enhanced.

- Where and with whom did you train?

The schools I have worked in have been in North London.

- Tell me about some of your current students.

My current students are just finishing up GCSEs or A-Levels. For example, one student I tutor achieved an A at GCSE Maths last year and is taking the new GCSE now. When I started with her she was in the 2nd from bottom set and now is in the top!
