I have an Honours degree from York University and a PGCE to teach both Economics and History from Leicester University. - What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught Economics and History since 1990. I was responsible for introducing History and Economics as A-level subjects at Waddesdon Secondary School Buckinghamshire and am currently responsible for A level Economics and History at Sackville School Kent. At Sackville School, which is noted for its small class sizes, last year Economics students achieved A* and B (ALIS predictions of C) and the year before Economics students also achieved A* and B (ALIS predictions of B and C). I have written textbooks both for Economics and History and have very wide experience of tutoring AQA, Edexcel and OCR Economics and History. I was an A level examiner for AQA for over a decade.

As well as A level students who are seeking extra help with their courses at school I also have one student who left school last year and is studying purely with me to get the top grades they need for their chosen university and a 44 year old who is taking GCSE and A level Economics in order to then go on to study a PGCE with a view to teaching themselves.

On the way home from Keith's lessons, my son would chatter away enthusiastically about all that he had learned. It was always such a pleasure to see my son suddenly feeling more and more positive about his learning.
With a forecast grade of an 'E', my son went on and passed his GCSE exam with a few marks off an 'A'.
I can honestly say that it is amongst the BEST money I have ever spent!
Just wanted to let you know I moved from a C to an A thanks to your
tutoring in Economics and am now off to Newcastle!
Thank you very much for everything.
I got an A in Economics and somehow got a B in History. Thank you for everything.
I just wanted to say thank you very much for all your help in preparation for my A Level Business Studies. I got the results today, and I got an A* overall, with an A in my Unit 2 resit, and then an A in both the Unit 3 and Unit 4 paper too!
Thanks again for everything!
Just wanted to tell you that Gabe got an 'A' for his A level Economics and is off to Newcastle Uni to do Management and Marketing.
He really couldn't have achieved anything like that grade in Economics (and also improved his course work in History) without your support and help.
Thank you very much indeed for all your hard work and expertise!
Keith Brown has the ability to approach your weaker subjects/topics with a view, or from a position you can easily relate to and understand - more so than other teaching I've ever had. Keith Brown is one of, if not THE, best teacher I have ever had (having been to 5 schools whilst growing up!).
I'm now Studying Modern History With Economics at the University Of Manchester and I want to personally thank Mr Brown for everything he has done for me, it was his professionalism and unrivalled tutoring in Business Studies in which I improved to an A grade that has enabled me to study at my 1st choice university which I wouldn't have been able to do without him!
I feel that I must say how beneficial your teaching has been and compliments the business course most effectively. James has enjoyed his lessons with you and we appreciate the time that you have allocated to him. It's a joy to hear James being so enthusiastic about a teacher and really appreciate it.
