I like to introduce a topic first by asking them some basic questions about the topic to gauge where they’re at and specifically identify any knowledge gaps. I then like to give them a bit of an introduction to build on their existing knowledge, then go through some example questions together. I then set questions related to the topic for them to do independently.
I am a Global Health Student - I am in my final year, but before this I was originally a medical student. I have been tutoring in maths and English for the past 3 years to students aged between 5 to 14. However, I have A levels in Chemistry, Geography and Biology, at A*AA and a B in Maths at AS level, so I would also be able to teach sciences.
