I am internal supply teacher who teaches every subject when asked to 11-16 year olds, although my specialist subjects English, Drama and History I could teach up to degree level. I have a laid-back approach when it comes to teaching, however I do strive for efficiency when doing so. I have read teaching techniques such as the Mastery technique for which I adhere to, it involves me differentiating the needs of certain students in order to get the best out of them, so by achieving in a particular topic before progressing, they can use what they have previously learned and apply it to the next topic. It also a good way to measure attainment and progress.
I am an internal supply teacher at a school in Bradford and have been working in education for three years now. I teach up to 30 students in various subjects 5 times a day. I have also been a tutor in the past, working at a tutoring center in London teaching adults English and also young children Maths/English 1-1.
I received a 2:1 in my Drama degree at Kingston University, with my dissertation titled "Theatre of Ideology in the Third Reich (1933-1945)" been graded at a 68. I have had a different approach to education, as I went to University at 22, leaving at 25 due to being medically discharged from the Army at 21. Although my degree is in Drama, my passion is literature and history. I hope to one day pursue a MA in History sometime in the near future.
