I've been an English language teacher and teacher trainer for 20 years. For the past 14 years, I held the position of Senior Lecturer in TESOL at a British University. I am now self-employed and support the success of home and international students.

I can help prepare students for IELTS or Cambridge Proficiency exams.

- Do you have a personal message for students?
I offer a supportive and encouraging approach, helping you to build your confidence. My commitment to learner autonomy means that you'll develop knowledge and skills that you can apply to your future learning.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have extensive experience preparing students for studying at UK universities and designing, delivering and assessing modules, from pre-degree to post-graduate levels, in English Language, Modern Foreign Languages, English Language Teaching, English for Academic Purposes, Study Skills, Research Methods and Intercultural Communication. I have trained both pre-service and in-service English language teachers from around the globe and have acted as a personal tutor for many years, mentoring a range of home and international students and helping to ensure their personal and academic success. As a Senior Lecturer, I have also supervised and marked many Master's dissertations in TESOL and Education. As a communication trainer, I deliver confident communication workshops in schools to support students' and teachers' communication skills for life.

With weekly personal tutorials, Krista helped me to develop my oral English and gave me confidence communicating with colleagues in English. I would recommend Krista's services to any academic wishing to develop their general and academic English language skills.
Krista saw my potential as a non-native speaker which made me stop positioning myself in a weaker position. My performance progressed dramatically; my MA dissertation achieved a very high score and later got published in a UK journal, and now I'm not far away from completion of a PhD at Lancaster University. Due to her help, I've also presented papers at several conferences. I feel extremely confident to recommend her to anyone who lacks confidence but is ambitious about their dreams.
Krista gave me advice about the structure of my work and referred me to some poignant literature whenever I needed it. Her experience working with foreign students made it easier for her to understand some areas I wanted to develop in my MA and for me not to feel ashamed to approach her when I was unsure how to phrase things in English. I will certainly refer back to her for future submissions.
