KS2 Primary teacher with experience in both KS2 and KS1 (phonics expertise) in Harrow with a degree in English and History.
Methodology
My best teaching method is always topic based learning. Whatever topic a child maybe learning, the child is emerged wihin the topic through the different subjects (for example, teaching science light and sound, teach measurement of how far a light can travel in a straight line whilst being reflected/bent. Cross curricular learning)
I lead metacognition in my job which means I lead strategies for children to relaise their own independent learning through planning, revising, consolidating and reflection.
I am always consistent for children to realise the routine to learn and I always use visual aids across all ages in order to consolidate learning for different learning types (audiotory/visual/kinaesthetic etc)
Experience
I am a English and History BA hons graduate from Aberystwyth University (2009 - 2012 - considered one of the top 50 universities in UK). Have been teaching at a Primary level for 3 years with experience across KS1 and KS2. Have experience at working at KS3 level as supply teaching/learning mentor (knowledge of expectations in a secondary setting). Children reach age related expectations and above expected level each year I have worked. Looking to teach children at any level from KS1 and KS2 level (can tutor phonics/KS2 Y2 SATs /KS2 Y6 SATs/11+ exams)
