I can give conversation classes up to degree level, particularly targeted at GCSE and A-Level language exam preparation. My teaching method is to focus on spoken conversation in order to apply grammatical rules and new vocabulary with confidence.
I approach each topic by introducing new vocabulary and reinforcing its learning with exercises and games to facilitate conversation. This method means that the lessons are actually applied in a practical sense.
I am a recent graduate from the University of Bristol with a BA in French and Russian. As part of my degree programme, I lived in Paris, France and Tomsk, Russia where I developed my language skills to a high level of fluency. In my own studies I came across many different methods of language learning and can confidently translate them from my own learning style to yours.
I have taught French, Russian and English to students of all ages and with different needs, from Common Entrance exam preparation to Final Year degree students. My positive attitude and varied style has helped my students to develop the confidence needed to take their success with languages beyond exams and for life.
I am an enthusiastic, hardworking, and outgoing recent graduate from with a specialisation in languages and literature. I have years of experience helping children and students (ages 6 - 23) excel in their development, both linguistic and personal. As a former academic scholar and prefect myself, I understand the pressures facing children of all ages in education and am committed to creating a positive environment in order to foster confidence and academic success.
