General Tutoring Approach:
Language classes are generally structured around speaking, listening and reading with writing tasks set as homework. None of my students share the same learning programme. Everyone has a different learning style, so I tailor my sessions according to my students' individual interests and needs. My class materials are culturally-rich, as they are sourced from both classic and contemporary media and literature, inspired from the various disciplines I studied in. I aim to deliver relevant and empowering learning results, focusing on critical thinking, creativity, and self-development.
For Exam Preparation:
Note-making, past papers revision as well as quizzes are the main focuses for my exam preparation sessions. Having experienced both Asian and Western education systems and studied for their exams, I am honoured to share comprehensive and effective studying techniques.
For Leisure or Business:
Classes are theme-based and split between oral, reading and listening comprehension, whilst working on grammar and pronunciation throughout. I started my journey with French when I was 10 and with Russian four years ago, allowing me to be in my students' shoes as a fellow learner too!
Victoria is one of our best tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

Victoria has really helped me improve my French speaking skills and helps me a lot with my pronunciation. In between lesson time she really helpfully sends me interesting and fun reading material in French, which sometimes I have to translate and we discuss it in detail during our lessons, making sure that I have understood everything, and that I am using vocabulary from the text in our discussion. I always enjoy our lessons, thanks Victoria!
Victoria was introduced to me by a friend who takes her French lessons. So far, she has been very helpful, kind, and professional. She helped my friend get a 9 in GCSE French, so I hope I get the same results from her!
Victoria is an excellent tutor. She has helped to my daughter to boost speaking and writing skills in mandarin. At the end of this academic year, she got a 9 ( A*)
Victoria’s timetable is very flexible letting you pick the time that fits you the best. Lesson times can vary from 15 minutes and onwards (to practise speaking multiple times a week), which my daughter find very practical.
I totally recommend her for any level.
J'ai eu la chance de prendre des cours de conversation en anglais avec Victoria il y a quelques années. Très sérieuse et très sympa, elle m'a bien fait progresser, sur le vocabulaire et l'accent, et mon anglais est bien plus fluide maintenant. Le tout dans la bonne humeur !
Victoria is a wonderful, compassionate teacher who identifies brilliantly with children and has fun, innovative means of making Manderin accessible to them. I thoroughly recommend Victoria.
I had a very basic understanding of Mandarin (HSK1) but wanted to get fluent before a business trip to Beijing/Chongqing. Victoria in less than 6 months took my skills to another level and even showed me the subtleties between traditional/simplified business Chinese (Handy if you go to Hong Kong). She really helped me with my oral and understanding of the four tones/intonation nuances. Highly recommend if you want someone fun and effective!
