Languages and Maths student offering tutoring up to an A-Level standard. I can offer tutoring for French, Spanish, Maths as my specialities but I can also offer tutoring for Biology, Chemistry, Physic
Methodology
My teaching method is to simplify. I find that some teaching styles are overcomplicated and puzzle the learner even more by trying to explain things in a very long-winded way. My way of teaching is to present the information in an accessible and clear way, then building on that knowledge with exercises and then, only after each and every step is fully covered in terms of understanding, moving onto developing the topics and this understanding.
Experience
I am a student who has completed her A-Levels and is mainly a linguist and a mathematician. I lived in Belgium for years and have studied French and Spanish very closely, gaining a love and passion for both. Maths, the seemingly polar opposite to languages, to me is like another language. I admire the processes that are involved with this subject and I have always enjoyed solving that one pesky equation. I am available to help make Maths, French and Spanish easier to understand as I am aware how some teaching techniques are not suited to all learners. These subjects are very enjoyable and easy to fall in love with once they are explained in the right way, which is where I come in! I am qualified at a GCSE, AS-Level and A-Level standard for these subjects but I can also tutor GCSE Sciences.
