I tend to approach topics from the bottom up and try to ingrain understanding and intuition before moving on to the relevant skills involved in exams, report writing or presentations. This has always been a logical way of teaching physics to me.
I am a physics PhD student working with computer simulations and modelling of semiconductor devices and lasers. I have a Bachelors degree from Cardiff University and studied quantum mechanics, optics and some astrophysics. I have experience demonstrating with first year students and tutoring up to A-level standard, so I can teach up to undergraduate degree level.
Currently researching in the field of lasers and semiconductors for my PhD.
