Hi, I'm a fully qualified native English teacher originally from Bristol.
I give a wide range of English lessons from essay writing guidance, exam prep (GCSE, FCE, IELTS), proofreading and business English.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
English language, for native speakers, with an emphasis on English Literature, Drama, Cultural Studies, and Sociology. I teach English language to non-native adults and help native speakers with essays and exams. I teach specialist business courses such as presentations, meetings, or
general conversation. I can also help with small talk and social English.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I am studying an MA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media at Central School of Speech and Drama
I have a BA Hons Degree in English Literature & Philosophy from Birmingham University, UK, and a CELTA.
I am also fluent in French and I speak elementary Korean.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £25 per hour for general lessons and exam prep. I can offer discounts for pre-booked lessons.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at my home, or at the student's place, or in an agreed meeting point.
I live near Clifton village in Bristol. I'm willing to travel if it's in Bristol.
- When are you available?
Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm. If you want a lesson outside these times then let me know and I'll see if I'm available,
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach adults at all levels, from complete beginner to advanced. I also teach younger learners at GCSE level.
I have many students who aren't native speakers, have a good level of English, but find it difficult to communicate at work.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare for the IELTS exams and the Cambridge exams for business or general English, and GCSE exams - English and Drama.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I can teach using Skype or FaceTime if you have a Mac. I can email you texts or exercise to prepare before then we
can have the lesson.

I can help you to get over a lack of confidence in your studies, your writing, or your speaking. I am very passionate about teaching English and writing and motivate you
to improve your writing, speaking, and exams prospects.

I taught business and general English in France for ten years at such companies as L'OrÃ©al, Christian Dior, and Carrefour. Then I spent
2 years in South Korea teaching at Samsung, LG, and Hyundai. In the UK I have been a private tutor for three years, helping with essays, proofreading,
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I have a full clear up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate.
