I approach each topic by breaking one big lesson down into it's main components, for example, in criminal law, Causing death would be split into homicide, manslaughter, mercy killing, infanticide, child destruction, defences and sentencing. I like to teach in a seminar/classroom style, and I am happy to work with student with learning difficulties and disabilities which hinder their learning.
I am a final year undergraduate student for law and criminal justice at LJMU, my favourite topics include criminal law, policing, medical law, Criminal Justice Process, substance use and crime, criminologocal theory and Crimes of the powerful. I can give lessons as well as help with revising for exams and preparing for coursework essays.
Miss Lauren Dougherty
21 Browning Avenue, Rock Ferry
I am a very creative, social, flexible, determined, reliable and dependable individual. I believe that it is important to maintain the reputation of both myself and the people who I am associated with, for instance, my voluntary work centre and my College.
During my time in High School I was responsible, trustworthy, moral and persevering. I was awarded several high-status positions in High School, including “Year Representative,” “Form Representative” and President of the school’s “Rotary” charity association.
I am passionate about my beliefs, although I respect that others may not agree with me. I stand up for what I believe is right, which I feel is an important trait of mine because I feel that opinions, both my own and of others, contribute massively to the running of society.
I am currently studying Law and Criminal Justice as an undergraduate at Liverpool John Moores University.
Cavendish Day Centre, Brassey Road, Birkenhead January 2015 – April 2015
I helped deliver lunch to senior citizens, as well as serving them tea. I talked with some of the senior citizens to ensure that they did not feel alone and that they could have someone to socialise with. Completing this voluntary work means that I can work with vulnerable individuals and adapt myself to suit their specific needs. I went to Cavendish Day Centre on Tuesdays 12:15 – 14:30 during term
NHS Livewell Department, Hamilton Square July 2015
I worked on a placement in the NHS Livewell Department, arranged by the careers advisor at Birkenhead Sixth Form College. My role involved inputting, updating or deleting patient data, creating leaflets to hand out to patients as well as information packs, and joining the activity groups that aim to improve people’s wellbeing and overall health, such as the gardening club and the drop in health clinic working with the Birkenhead food bank. This helped me significantly with developing my organisation skills, responsibility, handling sensitive data and inputting data, helping vulnerable people and being an active team member, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I am in my final year of my Law and Criminal Justice course in Liverpool John Moore's University. I am due to graduate this year.

I am a creative person, although work is a priority for me. This also helps with finding resolutions for problems that cannot be easily answered.
I am interested in and can work with modern technology. I like learning how to work with new technology as it gives me a challenge that I can enjoy and learn from. I also participate in a Forensic Anthropology society and a Law society in my university.
I can work with a variety of people. I hold this trait close to my heart as I feel that working with other people helps make the running of everyday tasks a lot easier and it also boosts relationships with co-workers. In high school I ran a club for year 7-8 students to help them with their reading and with their English work to improve their grades. college I took a basic first aid course and attended foundation classes for British Sign Language, both of which I completed.
